Inspired by spending countless hours in my grandmother's garden flowers have always been a big part of my life. Growing them and designing with them, creating florals that bring joy and warmth to people and the spaces they are in is what I love to do. Loose garden floral design is the style I gravitate towards. Fully opened blooms, flowering branches, and minimal greens provide a lush garden feel... organic, romantic and timeless. Working from my home studio and together with my team of freelancers I have flowered 100+ weddings throughout the Okanagan over the last nine years.
I am married to the sweetest man and together we are so fortunate to have a family that keeps on growing with spouses and grandbabies. A bit of a late start to floral design, after working in the administrative field, I am finally doing what I feel I was suppose to be doing all my life.
When designing I am always thinking of how flowers grow in nature; how one bloom stretches towards the sun or hides under another bloom for shade... giving an organic look and feel. Movement, texture, dimension and a carefully chosen colour palette are always important in my designs. Fully opened fragrant garden roses, flowering branches, delicate five petaled flowers like cosmos or sweet peas are some of the ingredients I love. Wherever possible I like to source flowers grown locally and include specialty flowers I grow in my garden. Florals should always compliment the person carrying them and not overpower the space they are in. They should seem natural as if they have always belonged there. The key words describing my style is garden inspired, floral forward, organic and romantic. I love seeing this bride's bouquet move with her as she walks in this video... as if it was just picked from the garden.

We typically take on only one wedding per weekend to concentrate on just you and your floral requirements. We follow environmentally friendly floral practises and do not use toxic floral foam and wherever possible re-purpose your event florals to local non profits or compost. I firmly believe flowers have a large part in creating the setting and mood of your wedding. Florals should always seem like they belong in the space and feel effortless to hold. Working together with you, your selected event professionals and my team of freelancers I am committed in making your wedding day florals incredibly memorable.
Your wedding day is such an important day and one of the biggest days of your life. Flowers signify celebration and bring life; fragrance which happens to be our strongest sense of memory; and incredible beauty. I believe a carefully chosen colour palette and specialty blooms sourced locally, internationally or from my garden is the key to good ingredients. My goal is to always make sure each and every bloom we source is at its most beautiful growing stage. And when designing with florals I am always striving to make each and every piece from the bridal bouquet to the smallest cocktail table arrangements picture perfect worthy just as it should be.
